Have you ever met someone for the first time and felt like you’ve now them your entire life? I’ve certainly experienced that before.
It’s truly amazing what can happen when you get into an atmosphere of people that build you up rather than tear you down, where people encourage and challenge you to be the best you can be.
Today, I want to take a moment and encourage you to spend time with people who inspire you to reach for new heights. When you associate with successful people, their excitment for life is contagious and you’ll end up catching new visions for yourself and your life. If you put yourself in victorious atmospheres, you’ll develop a winning mindset. So lets set out to make a new plan for you. It’s time for you to soar with the eagles and stop pecking around with those stinky chickens.
Last I looked the eagles were high in the sky while the chickens were stuck on the ground. Choose to be an eagle and soar high in the sky. Live with faith and expectancy, and then let God do the rest. He’ll take you places you’ve always dreamed of.
From my heart to yours,
Have you ever been so excited to accomplish something then your thoughts creep in and start telling you all the reasons why you can’t and then you actually start to believe them?
I’ve been there before. What an amazing place to be… said, nobody. The reality is if you don’t think your dreams will ever come to pass, you’re 100% right. They will never. What you think is exactly what you’ll get.
If you don’t think you have what it takes to rise up and set a new standard, it’s never going to happen. The barrier is in your mind, it’s like being a prisoner locked up in jail. It’s a wrong thinking pattern that keeps us in defeat. That’s why it’s so important to think positive thoughts of hope, faith, and victory. Maybe somebody has spoken negative words into your life or somebody has told you that you just don’t have what it takes to accomplish that.
Do me and yourself a favor, go tell them to fly a kite… haha just kidding. Don’t accept, reject. Reject the lies whenever you hear them. Break through the limitations and focus on the amazing abilities you have within you. If God is for you, who dare to be against you?
Have you ever set a goal and then totally forgot about it weeks later? Or maybe written a goal down but never looked at it again? Well, I have too.
What I’ve learned is that if we continually keep in front of us, we will accomplish it. If you focus on a certain image of success in your mind, you’re going to move towards that success. And on the other hand, if you see yourself broke as a joke, not worth anything, having a failing marriage then most likely your life will move towards those negative situations.
Your thoughts will soon become reality. Your vision, what you see, has a huges impact on your life. We need to quit allowing our imaginations to keep us beaten down. Instead, let’s start using our imaginations to build us up. Let’s keep the goals you want to accomplish in front of you. That image will set the limits for your life and with the help of God we know… “All things are possible.”
If you could go anywhere, where would you go? Not in terms of vacations, but in your life. Your answer to that question does a lot to determine whether or not you’re successful.
We’re all on a journey. We are traveling inevitably toward the end of our lives. So the real question for us is whether we’re going to select a destination and steer our course for it, or allow ourselves to be swept along the tide, letting others determine where we end up.
The choice is entirely up to us. What specific destination are you staring your life towards? What MAP are you using to get where you want to go?
Where is your heart when it comes to serving others?
Do you desire to become a leader for the perks and the benefits? Or are you the motivated by a desire to help others?
If you really want to become the kind of leader that people want to follow, you have to to be servant-focused and servant-driven. If your attitude is to be served rather than to serve, you are headed for trouble.
#1 stop dominating people and start listening to them.
#2 Stop role-playing for advancement and start risking for others benefit. and
#3 Stop seeking your own way and starts serving others.
It is true that those who would be great must be like the least and the best servant of all. if you want to lead on the highest level you must be willing to serve on the lowest.
Have you ever tried to help someone and they were totally checked out and not trying to hear what you were saying?
Well thats because you didn’t developed a relationship with them first. leaders often make the common mistake of trying to lead others before developing relationships with them. As you prepare to develop other people, take time to get to know each other. A cool ACRONM that I learned while back to connect with people if FORD, F O R D. It stands for Family, Occupation, Recreation and dreams. As soon as you start asking questions are them in these areas they will begin to open up and share their lives with you.
You will quickly find out all about them, their story, their journey and where they are going in life. Knowing what someones dreams are and asking about them will allow you to connect on a new level. People love to talk about themselves. So try it out today. If you meet someone new. Ask them about their family, occupation, recreation and dreams. Just listen and see what happens.
