Have you ever set a goal and then totally forgot about it weeks later? Or maybe written a goal down but never looked at it again? Well, I have too.
What I’ve learned is that if we continually keep in front of us, we will accomplish it. If you focus on a certain image of success in your mind, you’re going to move towards that success. And on the other hand, if you see yourself broke as a joke, not worth anything, having a failing marriage then most likely your life will move towards those negative situations.
Your thoughts will soon become reality. Your vision, what you see, has a huges impact on your life. We need to quit allowing our imaginations to keep us beaten down. Instead, let’s start using our imaginations to build us up. Let’s keep the goals you want to accomplish in front of you. That image will set the limits for your life and with the help of God we know… “All things are possible.”
Do you sit around feeling sorry for yourself? Do you constantly complain about how unfair life is? If so, ask yourself a couple questions –
Do I really want to get well? Have I gotten comfortable with where I am in life?
Here’s the solution – Stop letting your setbacks become your identity. You have to get over that. Stop talking about it and speaking it into existence. Quit revisiting that wound again and again. You may have been severely wounded by a bad decision you made, a divorce, or a job you lost but it’s time to let it go. It’s in the past for a reason so be intentional about leaving it there. Stop thinking and talking about something you can’t change. You must let go of your shattered dreams if you want God to give you fresh, new dreams.
Forgive the people who have hurt you by doing this you are freeing yourself. Release any remaining bitterness and then God will give you a new beginning.
Have you ever thought of yourself as a failure? If so, great news.. you can break yourself out of those negative thinking patterns. I want you to look at an area of your life you have repeatedly failed and DO THESE 4 THINGS. # 1 – Examine your expectations for that area. Write them down. Are they realistic? Do you expect to do them perfectly? do you expect to succeed on the first try? How many mistake should you expect to make before you succeed? Adjust your expectations. #2 – Find new ways to do your work. Brainstorm at least 10 new ways you can attack it and then try half of them. #3 – Focus on your strengths. How can you use your best skills and personal strengths to maximize your effort? #4 – Pledge to bounce back. No matter how many times you fall down, pick yourself up and keep going. Don’t wait until you feel positive to move forward. Act your way into feeling good. That’s the only way to start thinking more positively about yourself. Remember that even if you do fail, you are never a failure.
How do I get more of what I want? One of the greatest challenges we face in our journey to enjoy living our best life now is the temptation to live selfishly.
It’s easy to slip into the trap of selfishness. You will have more joy than ever when you live to give. If you want to attact more money, give money to those who need it. If you want to attract more love, give your love away. Whatever you want to attract more of, give that exact same thing away.
This is another major step to live at your full potential. We are not made to always be thinking only of ourselves. God created us to be givers. heres a fact – You will never be truly fulfilled as a human being until you learn the simple secret of how to give your life away. Always ask yourself… who can I bless today? Find at least one person and be a blessing in their life.
